This year's picnic will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 @ 12PM. All rides will begin and end at the Union Hill Park and Ride. Steve Srolovitz has once again volunteered the use of his backyard (with pool) for us. He lives 1.3 miles (about a 4-minute drive) from the Park and Ride. Thanks again Steve!
In addition to registering for the picnic, please make sure to also register for the ride you are planning to do that day. Yes, you need to register for BOTH the picnic and your ride! When you register for the picnic, the confirmation email will contain Steve's address. If you don’t plan on riding, you can just register for the picnic.
For the JSTS Summer Picnic to be successful we need volunteers to help during the event. If you can spare some time and volunteer, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please indicate your availability when you register for the picnic.
The club will be providing hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, snacks and soft drinks. We are not charging an admission fee, but we are asking that every attendee bring something. Here are samples of what to bring:
- Fried Chicken
- Cold Salads (Mac, Potato, Cole Slaw, Tossed, Bean, etc.)
- Baked Beans
- Casserole Dish (Sausage & Peppers, Meatballs, Wings, etc.)
- Pasta Dish (Hot or Cold)
- Nacho Platter
- Cooked Shrimp (with cocktail sauce)
- Vegetable Platter (with dip)
- Deviled Eggs
- Fruit Salad
- Baked Desserts
There is a microwave and oven to heat things up. Alternately we will run a power strip out for crockpots. Each dish should have an accompanying serving utensil. Talk among your buddies to coordinate what you’re bringing to minimize duplication. This event is BYOB.
Remember to bring a chair. If you plan to swim, bring a bathing suit and towel. Let’s hope for great weather and maximum participation.
